Hi, I’m Elaine.

I’m a Toronto mom of two, wife, and dog mom who is perpetually running between school drop-offs, the gym, and approximately one hundred errands. Skincare has to fit into that life — or it doesn’t happen.

I became obsessed with figuring out what actually works because my own skin demanded it. Not what’s trending. Not what has the prettiest packaging. What genuinely delivers — on real skin, on a real schedule, without a ten step routine that falls apart by Wednesday.

I spent years in consumer marketing working with brands you’d recognise, which taught me how to see through the noise. Then I started my own skincare company, and that’s when things got really interesting. When you’re on the formulation side you learn fast — what ingredients actually do what they claim, why two products with nearly identical labels perform completely differently, and why the most expensive option is rarely the smartest one.

But honestly? The part I love most has nothing to do with any of that. It’s the moment a friend texts me a photo of her skin three weeks into a new routine. It’s the oh my god what IS this message at 11pm. It’s the joy of finally finding the thing that works after years of wasting money on things that didn’t.

That feeling is why Skin Ritual exists.

Every product here has been personally tested. Nothing is here because of a brand deal or a sponsorship. These are the products I’d press into your hands at a dinner party if you asked me what to use — which, if you know me, I would absolutely do uninvited.
